Do I have to be a member to shoot at the FACTC?
(A) Yes, to shoot unsupervised on the FACTC grounds you must be a member of the club. See membership>Type of Membership & Fees.
Do I need a firearms license?
(A) Yes, to shoot unsupervised on the FACTC grounds you must hold an appropriate current shooters licence and be a member of the club. See membership>Type of Membership & Fees.
Do you provide coaching?
(A) Club member and Olympic Bronze medallist Adam Vella runs OzShooting from our grounds, professional coaching can be arranged by contacting Adam through the OzShooting website.
I’m a FACTC member can I bring a friend?
(A) Yes, however instruction of a Licensed or non licensed person is only permitted by experienced club members and approval must be sought from the office.
On approval the visitor must sign the visitors’ book on the day of attendance. Visitors are only permitted to shoot at the club twice before joining.
The member must only instruct one person at a time, only single loading of the firearm is permitted (single barrel shooting) the friend must not be left to shoot on their own. Instruction must not be conducted on a ground being used by other members.
Are there club guns available for hire?
(A) No, firearm security is a key responsibility and the committee have decided not to provide club guns.
I’m a VFGA member do I have to be a FACTC member to shoot at the club?
(A) No, but the cost to shoot practice is more expensive for non members. Your VFGA membership provides insurance cover for Skeet, DTL and Five Stand. Club membership is not compulsory for VFGA affiliates at this point in time, but recommended.
I’m a SSAA member do I have to be a FACTC member to shoot at the club?
(A) Yes you must be a FACTC member. Your SSAA membership does not have any reciprocal rights with the ACTA clubs. For insurance reasons you need to become a FACTC & ACTA member.
I’m an ACTA member of an affiliate club, do I have to be a FACTC member to shoot at the club?
(A) No. Your ACTA membership of an affiliate club provides insurance cover for Skeet, DTL and Five Stand. Full reciprocal rights apply.
