Gateway to the Mornington Peninsula - The Frankston Australian Clay Target Club is located a short 40 minutes drive from the Melbourne CBD in Carrum Downs just north of the East Link Tollway and Mornington Peninsula Freeway junction. Access is from Thompson Road which intersect both the Freeway and Tollway.

The Mornington Peninsula separates Westernport and Port Phillip Bays with the southern edge of the Peninsula running along Bass Straight. The Peninsula is a popular spot for water activities such as fishing, surfing, swimming, sailing and water skiing with magnificent ocean beaches and famous swimming beaches at Portsea and Sorrento.

Many of the apple orchards that were prominent on the Mornington peninsula for decades have been replaced with vineyards. Some of the better known boutique vineyards on the peninsula also boast fine dining restaurants at which their wines can be sampled with equally superb meals.
