New Members

It is a requirement of the Club that all New Members register for, and attend, a Safety Induction. This session includes a verbal briefing about safety, rules and regulations when attending FACTC. After the verbal briefing, you will then be taken out by one of our licenced instructors for a round of 25 targets to ensure you have sufficient gun safety. This exercise is not to assess your accuracy and how many targets you can successfully hit, but rather to assess that you are capable of handling a firearm in a safe manner. The cost of this Safety Induction is $60 and includes ammunition, use of a club shotgun, ear protection and instruction.

You do not need to have your Firearms Licence when attending an Induction as you will be suitably supervised by one of our licences Instructors. FACTC is aware that a requirement of applying for your Firearms Licence is that you need to provide ‘Proof of Club Membership’ should your genuine reason for applying for the Firearms Licence be for ‘Sport/Clay Target Shooting. So the Safety Induction is the first step in applying for your Club Membership.

Induction Booking

Inductions are generally available every Wednesday at hourly intervals, and a minimum of two weekend sessions per month. To book an Induction please call (03) 9782 1626 or alternatively please email factcsecretary@gmail.com.

Membership Application

FACTC does not accept new membership applications via email unless a Safety Induction has already been attended. Your Safety Induction is valid for six months and if you have not joined the Club within this period, you will need to schedule another Safety Induction.

For previous Members who have let their membership lapse for a period of longer than three years, you will also need to book a Safety Induction in order to renew your Membership.

There are a number of Membership options available as per the 2022 Membership Application Form. 2022 Memberships will be accepted from 1 November 2021.

Current Members

Membership renewal forms are emailed out in November to Members who have had a Membership in that current year. Membership renewals can be paid by returning your completed renewal form and credit card payment form via email or post or alternatively by paying over the counter at the Club using EFTPOS, Credit Card or Cash. Personal Cheques are not accepted.
